The Bensalem Fall Festival
The Bensalem Fall Festival was created on Bensalem’s 300th anniversary. The Tri-Centennial Committee formed from numerous volunteers, and community activists believed it would be fitting to mark Bensalem’s rich legacy going back to 1692. The date was set for September 15.
Fundraisers were organized, theatrical performances were scored, and the community came together for the opening celebration, which was rightly dubbed “Pride Day.” Taking pride in one’s community and maintaining the spirit of community is what the first pride day reflected and remains to be the very foundation of the event today.
The very first festival was modest but massive with enthusiasm with only one food vendor, a bouncy ride, and a small car show. Fast-forward to today! Every year the event has grown exponentially with the increase of first class production, animal displays, entertainments, business and crafter attractions and the best-known fireworks finale in the state during the autumn season.
The event is an amazing way for people to engage neighbors, evaluate businesses and find out what living in a great community means. Thousands gather at Bensalem’s Central Park found in the center of the Municipal Complex, but the best thing is that this Festival is just a small part of places to visit in Bensalem.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is essentially responsible for fire investigations, managing fire prevention investigations, producing quality public education programs and evaluate plans for fire code compliance. Together The Fire Marshal and The Fire Rescue Division make the Fire-Rescue Department, established in 2010.
Major Joseph DiGirolamo
Joseph DiGirolamo was born and raised in Bensalem and has worked as its mayor for the last 23 years. When questioned about his early recollections of Bensalem, he remembers the past when it was all farmland. When people started to leave Philadelphia and move to Bensalem, he witnessed a tiny town of fewer than 5,000 inhabitants evolve to its current population of more than 60,000.Have a question regarding residential roofing?
