The largest city in Western Pennsylvania is Levittown, where tourists and residents enjoy hiking trails, taking a bicycle ride around the city, and enjoying the many recreational activities located in the area. The city was named such because it was where the American Medical Association, American Booksellers Association and United States Book Writers Association met and created the Levittown Reference Library in 1931. The library was designed with two floors and several hundred rooms, accommodating over five hundred thousand volumes that include books on medicine, history, engineering, mathematics, chemistry and even e-books. State Central Library – One of the public libraries of Levittown PA is the State Central Library. It has two branch campuses located in Wilkes-Barre and York. The library offers a wide range of services including free access to the Internet, as well as computer rental. There are also many onsite activities and programs that you can find here. There is a cafe with a coffee counter, public computer center, library technician centers, an exhibit hall, and a public billiards room. Free books are available in the public computers and they are always updating their books on a regular basis.

Reading Public Library – There is one public library that is located in the Town of Levittown, in addition to the State Central Library. This is the Levittown Public Library. It was built in 1931 and serves over four hundred thousand people a year. There are two main branches that are located in the City of Levittown, one on Pennypack Island, and the other on Ocean View Road.
