The Bricks Little Scholars Mustangs concluded the 2006 season with a flawless 9-0 record and won the Jersey Shore B Division.
On five separate occasions in the 2000s, the Pop Warner Brick Mustang cheerleaders went to compete versus other teams from all across the nation in Disney World. In 2003, the junior peewee Mustang cheering team was the first to win the national trophy in Brick Township history.
Brick is a home of the Ocean Ice Palace, constructed in 1960, that hosts the Brick Hockey Team. The arena is also home to the Brick Stars, a special needs hockey club who has home matches and practices.

WBGD 91.9FM went on air in 1974, formerly located at Brick High School. The station was later relocated to Brick Memorial High School. The radio station was the creation of a teacher called Robert Boesch who taught electronics at the Brick High School during the 1960s, 1970s, and the 1980s. This station was a student-run operation and received the FCC license from the FCC for Educational Broadcasting.
The most important broadcast was the first ever state high school football championship match of 1974. The Brick Green Dragons beat Camden by a score of 21-20 on the last play of the match to win the first state trophy.
In 2007, during regular roofing maintenance and repair, the broadcast tower was cut off the roof, and it was never returned or renewed. In 2010 WBGD’s license was revoked.
The Asbury Park Press gives daily news coverage of the town, as does WOBM-FM radio. The government of the township provides material and commentary to ‘The Brick Times, one of seven weekly newspapers from Micromedia Publications.Have a question regarding gutter installation?
